Do not lecture me about my hiatus. I know it is screwed. But the connection in Penang sucked balls. 30th October 2009 – Ed Board AGM/Installation Soooo after a year of running around, chasing deadlines, extending deadlines, squeezing out creative brain juice and hackling teachers for articles, the long-awaited day came and… I’VE RETIRED! Just so you know, I wanted to join the Board since I was in Form 1, when I saw the school mag. And it hasn’t disappointed in the least. (And one of the most awesome parts of the year was realizing that I got to chase PN JOYCE for articles; like a teacher chases a student for homework. HO HO XD) Kai Boon’s got it right when he said that this is one board that is pretty much politics-free. Not completely, but it’s kept to a minimum. Thank you to the Ed Board committee 2008/2009, you’ve been a FUNdamental part of my final year of high school. :) The outgoing. The incoming. Don’t be scared, we don’t look like that in real life! Those are just our… Hallowe’en costumes. :D Me, and some of the people who’ve made my job as the EDE fun. (: & this is one of the ways they make me feel blessed! Thank you all! Not forgetting Sean and the fellow form 5 members – Chris, Becca, Su Teng, Eng Hean and Charleen. And Nick, don’t be so scared lah. Just have as much fun as you can while getting the job done. You’re working with a great committee! Which, may I add, I have a lot of confidence in. :) *Salutes* WHEEEE :D I know I’m infatuated with these! But what to do, they’re so awesomely colourful. (: I have wonderful subordinates. It pays to be nice to them. WAHAHA. We have one last event – the distribution of the school mag, which is this Tuesday. (Yep, not Monday. My bad!) And we retirees are going to play Mafia or some other lame game while the new committee of 2009/2010 does the grunt work! And then I’m going to go home and read the mag over and over again and admire a year’s worth of effort accomplished with an awesome team. HAHA. Here’s to the Editorial Board! May your wits stay as sharp as your pens, may the PC never break down, may you be able to finally tame The Printer (whatever his or her name happens to be today), may Edward lose weight, and may you never never ever underestimate the Power of Pn Chan!
INTRODUCING
Name: Louise
13 April 1992
You can only call me Lulu if you don’t think the name’s funny.
I am a member of the Smiley Conspiracy and a proud ex-CHS-ian, graduating class of 2009. Now doing A-Levels at HELP University College. Is proudly Malaysian, but doesn’t look like it and is proud of that too.
This is the 7th time I am editing this about section of the blog this year; I have sort of accepted that my personality is ever-evolving, ever-changing, therefore rendering my moods as volatile as the weather. But just as there are some things that have stood untouched across the centuries by harsh weather, so there are some things with me that remain ever the same: a belief that to live is to learn, and the ability to bounce back from setbacks.
What I love also remains constant. I love good food, dancing, fresh experiences, open minds and friendly people, all of which can be found in the wonderful wonderful city that is Istanbul. I love musicals, plays, good books, stickers, owls, colourful wrapping paper, hugs and kisses, chocolates, almost any music from the 17th to the 21st century, intense debates and post-it notes.
Fictional characters I have been compared to (in terms of personality) are Piglet from Winnie The Pooh and Kelsi from High School Musical.
I dream of finishing this list [29/8/2010: list is undergoing revamp!], and my secret ambition is to become a hairdresser or bartender. Unfortunately I’m also incredibly kiasu, so I’m going to go to university just to show everyone that I can. But want to go to uni also because I love learning lah!
Words that describe me are impulsive, impetuous, quixotic, sanguine, quirky, bewildered, kiasu and hodgepodge. The last one also refers to my sense of fashion.
*GRINS* :D
