But I couldn't help it! I couldn't wait to congratulate Joanna and Pei She for getting accepted into BRATs!! :D
And my sister knows heaps of people from last year's BRATs alternative who also got into the March workshop 2009! Check her blog later, she might blog about it. Between us we might know the entire workshop. HAHA.
I don't know about the June/August 09 workshops though. My sister applied for the August workshop but she hasn't gotten any letter yet. So hang on yeah? Maybe you'll recieve your letters later.
This is awesome. Haha. Maybe I should do PR!
Counting the hours till I can text again.
Today I found out during PJPK that the girls in my class can be sooo VIOLENT! It's like, whenever someone from the opposing team got the ball, they surrounded her and started clawing and slapping at the ball (and sometimes her) and repeating her name in this high-pitched way (KIMBERLYKIMBERLYKIMBERLEY!) until she finally let go.
I think you also scared to go near the ball kan? ;)
Sze Geet remarked that we'd make a pretty good rugby team! Only I don't think I'd fancy rugby. I'd only get all my bones broken if the rest of the players fell on top of me, and I know that happens a lot in rugby. I don't want to break my nose! And is there even such a thing as a girl's rugby team? o.O
*runs to check*
There is! And the pictures are scary.
Sze Geet, you SURE you want to be playing rugby out there? Haha.
Wednesday was Ash Wednesday so I went with Ian and Sean to CKK St Thomas More. (Glad the name's changed. CKK sounds so... Kampung-fied?)
While I was at his place, Ian's dog jumped up on the couch next to him and licked his face.
Ian: Oh. EEEEEW!!! I got kissed!
Sean: *comes down to see what's the matter*
Ian: She kissed me!
Sean: *stares at us.*
Ian: Not her! The dog!
ROFLMAO.
Oh bugger it's 4.30pm. Piano class and I didn't *really* touch the piano this week. Double bugger.
Biiiig announcement! Pay attention now, everyone!
Sorry for having closed my blog. As you can see, it was under construction. And it looks, well, not better, but I hate seeing the same thing every time!
And you know something cool? The icons at the side of each post will change each time you visit my page!
*happily clicks away at the refresh button*
And then I have a new obsession! And it's with Irish tap dancing!
(and don't give me that look.)
Watch the clip and you'll know why. Hahaha. I love the Irish.
Weren't they AWESOME? :D
PS: I just typed out a nice long essay and I had to chop it out of the post because according to Ian, I can't tell the whole world about it. Pffffffft! See what happens when you all try to find out where I disappear to this week.
PPS: I'm having problems with the hit counter! I don't even know why I bother finding out how many people read my page daily.
Happy Singleton's Awareness Day! ♥
Not surprising that I didn't remember it at all, what with the cross country and all, but I doubt I would have remembered it anyway. Very insignificant date for happy diehard singles like me. Hahaha.
ANDANDAND.
I just realized!
BLISTERS! :D
You know what this means?
Daddy has to get me a pair of proper sports shoes now. HAHAHA.
No more excuses about too many shoes!
:DD
Today's cross-country was... Well, awesome o.O I DID spend a lot of time preparing for it, or more than normal. And I did eat one banana more than I did last year!
But I still didn't expect to get number 7! Especially when I only got 34th place last year! Totally worth all four blisters I have now. HAHA.
It was horrible, though, when so many people got disqualified. Hui Shan, Hua Hui; Yao Jie, Sui Lun (!)
Stupid QuarterMasters. Other people shouldn't have to lose their placing just because of YOUR errors. And it's all very well for you, since you got to cosy up in a car till you reached your check point and you just stand there taking names! The rest of us had to work our asses off 5km or 8km to get to the finishing line and you disqualify them because you got too comfortable standing there and fell asleep and missed their number.
Shit.
So officially I got number 5, but in my opinion (and I think I speak for everyone) Hui Shan and Hua Hui deserved to have a placing in the top 5.
It's 11.25pm! I've had a long day and tomorrow I'm going to run 5 kilometers round Section 5, but I still don't want to sleep yet! I've turned the fan on and am pretending to dry my hair while using the laptop. but Wth. I don't think my mom's that dumb.
and i only got one thing to say.
POT.ONG.STEAM. :(((((((((
Hi guys! I've decided to do a Stanley and start advertising the BRATs. You know, the young journalist program that I kept banging on about last year because it was so fantabulouslyawesomelycool.
*Yeah I'm sure you remember, cuz I mentioned it like three times a post last holidays.*
You get to learn new skills like making videos, writing good articles and taking quality photos, and even interviewing people. Which, personally I think is a really important skill. Besides it's not a physically challenging camp. You get to eat A LOT. HAHAH. And most of all, the people there are awesome :) Being a BRAT really broadens your horizons and gets you incredible experiences.
Oh yeah, and as of this year, we're being given a more significant role in the production of our monthly 4-page pullout, Ole BRATs. So you get sent to do really cool assignments. Like reviewing RESTAURANTS!
...
Okay so maybe restaurants aren't all that exciting. But Camp 5 is! :D
You HAVE to be interested already. Haha. If not, go back to December and read all those awesome posts about the awesome camps and get stoned.
The BRATs are the nicest people and the most interesting to get to know, trust me. :)
So just write an essay about yourself in less than 1000 words. How hard can it be to write 1000 words about yourself?! Include your contact details and state which camp you'd like to attend. There are 3:
Malacca - March 14-17
Kota Baru - June 10-13
Seremban - August 22-25
Oh and no camping involved in these workshops. You get to stay in HOTELS. :)
Send your essay in by FEBRUARY 15 2009 to the following address
